Living vicariously through my own sound and desires” – that feeling of yearning and thirst for love that dwells within the single Chocolit Rain exemplifies this.  With the thump of a throbbing bass line, glistening piano chords, pulsating drums and the steady rhythm underneath it all, the listener is asked to ”experience” the music.

Trané N'Chel (pronounced Tra-Nay Nichelle) is a  performing artist who's journey begins under bright lights in glamorous New York City where she was born and raised.  Two time winner at the World Famous Apollo Theater , this singer/songwriter has been blessed beyond what the naked eye can see.  Music lives inside the very core of her. “At an early age I studied music, not in the traditional sense, but through notes and melodies sung by those who were laying the musical foundation for me" says Trané. They were unknowingly forming the blueprint for the artist that she would become. Soon it became apparent that she was born to be a vessel through which music would flow, touching the lives of others through song. She has been featured on The Today Show and Live 5 News in NYC, the City Paper and The Post and Courier and the CW in Charleston SC.

As her name grew, the pieces began to fall into place.  As an original member of the Emmy Award Winning McDonald’s Gospelfest Choir in  New York City she was exposed to an ever-increasing audience. Being able to transition as a solo artist afforded her the opportunity to further hone her craft.  Being a member of the choir gave her the opportunity to work with such gospel icons as Tramaine Hawkins, Donnie McClurkin, Cissy Houston, Melba Moore and CeCe Winans. “Being in such grand company definitely served her well.  As a result she performed at some of the most  famous arenas in New York City such as Radio City Music Hall, Town Hall, Rockefeller Center, The Jacob Javitz Center, Westbury Music Fair and Madison Square Garden.

She has done many shows in around the Charleston area and played many venues. Studio sessions would allow her to capture the framework she built vocally. Always daring to push the envelope, carrying influences in her back pocket and utilizing them to shape her own style. Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Sarah Vaughn, Teena Marie, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Ledisi, Lalah Hathaway all contributed to the foundation on which her artistry was built. “I grew up exposed to an eclectic range of styles and artists” Trané explains.  She lives in the songs and through them, making the stories three dimensional in the most awe-inspiring ways.

The debut single Chocolit Rain is the song that serves as the catalyst which promises to showcase her flamboyant voice. A voice that has a unique, sensuous and dreamy texture with an undeniable punch of soul. From the opening notes of “Chocolit Rain,”, one hears that combination of sensuality, seduction and melodious fascination that are becoming N’Chel’s trademarks.  It prepares the audience for the arrival of a gifted and significant talent, one whose music feels good to the soul, while marking its own signature.  Be it ballad, mid-tempo or uptempo her songs should feel familiar”.  The passion of it, the warmth of it, the intimacy of it  challenges the audience to feel what she feels as an ambassador of love, an artist, a storyteller and vocalist.
